Meeting so many patients in the consulting room,
one question has always stayed with me.
The test numbers have returned to normal,
so why do patients still say it is hard?
The surgery went well, they are told,
so why does the road back to ordinary life feel so long?
I came to believe the answer lies in the time after treatment.
A hospital is a place that removes pain and treats illness,
but what a patient needs goes beyond treatment:
a full recovery that returns them to their own life.
That is exactly where Soldam began.
To fill the daunting gap patients once had to face alone after treatment ended,
and to help pain, strength, function and daily life
recover without a break.
That is the responsibility I hold as a doctor,
and the reason Soldam exists.
I sincerely hope that everyone who comes to Soldam
